Diesel Engine

247cc to 762cc / Direct Injection

Single-Cylinder Air-Cooled Diesel Engine OEM Guide (3.5kW – 12.5kW)

KIGERPOWER single-cylinder vertical 4-stroke air-cooled direct-injection diesel engines cover 247cc to 762cc, rated 3.5kW to 12.5kW at 3600rpm. All nine models share one architecture — OHV cylinder head, cast-iron wet liner, forged steel connecting rod and direct fuel injection — which keeps parts interchangeability high across the whole range for machinery builders replacing Honda GX160, GX186, GX390 and equivalent engines. Every unit is built for generator, water pump, agricultural tiller, high-pressure washer and welding-generator mounting, with standard horizontal output shafts, clockwise PTO rotation viewed from the flywheel end, and #0 or -10# light diesel fuel. Recoil starting is available across the range and electric starting is optional or standard from KG1100F upward, so the same platform serves both walk-behind equipment and unattended prime-power installations.

247cc to 762cc Displacement Spread

Nine models from 73X59mm bore and stroke (247cc) to 105X88mm (762cc), letting one supplier cover an entire machine range.

Direct Injection with Cast-Iron Wet Liner

Direct-injection combustion and a cast-iron wet liner withstand abrasive duty and long service intervals in farm and construction equipment.

280-295g/kw.h Fuel Consumption

Catalogue consumption figures hold between 280g/kw.h on the 6.5kW class up to 295g/kw.h on the 3.5kW class.

Interchangeable Mounting Geometry

Common bolt patterns and horizontal shaft centre heights support drop-in replacement of Honda GX-series and equivalent engines.

Electric Start from KG1100F Upward

Recoil or electric starting is offered on KG173F through KG1103F, with electric start standard on the 12.5kW KG1105F.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which KIGERPOWER diesel engine replaces a Honda GX390?

The KG195F is the closest match in the 9.0kW rated class, with a 95X75mm bore and stroke and 531cc displacement. The KG186FA (6.5kW, 418cc) and KG190FA (8.0kW, 476cc) cover the smaller GX160 and GX200 classes.

Can these air-cooled diesel engines be used with a generator head?

Yes. All models use clockwise PTO rotation viewed from the flywheel end and horizontal output shafts, which suits direct-coupling generator heads. Rated output spans 3.5kW to 12.5kW at 3600rpm.

What fuel specification do the engines require?

The catalogue specifies #0 or -10# light diesel oil across all nine models. Fuel tank capacity ranges from 2.5L on the KG173F to 5.5L on the 9.8kW to 12.5kW models.

Do you supply engines with electric starting for unattended installations?

Electric starting is available on KG173F, KG178F, KG186FA, KG190FA, KG192FD, KG1100F, KG1103F and is standard on KG1105F, which is normally paired with generator sets and pumps.
