Gasoline Inverter Generator Guide — Open Frame & Silent Canopy

KIGERPOWER gasoline inverter generators are supplied in two chassis families that share the same digital inverter architecture. Open-frame models KG1000i, KG1800i, KG2200i, KG3800i, KG4800i and KG5800i cover 0.9kW to 4.7kW rated (1.0kW to 5.0kW maximum) from 63cc to 196cc 4-stroke OHV air-cooled engines, weighing 12kg to 26.5kg and measuring 67dB(A) at 7 meters. Silent canopy models KG2200is, KG2800is, KG3800is, KG4800is and KG5800is run 61–62dB(A) at 7 meters at 21kg to 25kg net weight, and add parallel connection terminals so two identical units can be paired. Both families deliver pure sine wave output at THD ≤ 5% with voltage regulation of ±2%, power factor 1, and selectable 110V / 220V / 230V output. Engine management uses an electronic governor with a Smart Eco-Throttle that lowers RPM at light load to cut fuel consumption.

Two Chassis Families, One Inverter Platform

Open-frame units for portability, silent canopy units for noise-limited use, both with the same pure sine wave inverter module.

0.9kW to 4.7kW Rated Range

Eleven models across 63cc to 196cc displacements, from the 12kg KG1000i to the 26.5kg KG5800i.

61–62 dB(A) on Silent Canopy Models

Silent canopy units measure 61–62dB(A) at 7 meters, against 67dB(A) for the open-frame gasoline series.

Parallel Connection Terminals

Silent models provide parallel function terminals for pairing two units, unlike the open-frame versions.

THD ≤ 5% with ±2% Regulation

Pure sine wave output, power factor 1, and voltage held within ±2% of nominal across 110V / 220V / 230V.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose an open-frame or silent canopy gasoline inverter generator?

Open-frame models are lighter and cheaper, measuring 67dB(A) at 7 meters and weighing 12kg to 26.5kg, and suit sites where portability matters. Silent canopy models run at 61–62dB(A), weigh 21kg to 25kg net, and include parallel terminals, making them the better choice for camping, RV, and indoor-adjacent use.

What is the total harmonic distortion of these inverter generators?

The gasoline inverter series is specified at pure sine wave output with Total Harmonic Distortion at or below 5%, with power factor 1 and voltage regulation within ±2%.

Can two silent inverter generators be connected in parallel?

Yes. Parallel function is offered on the silent canopy gasoline series, allowing two compatible units to be synchronized for higher continuous output. The open-frame models do not carry parallel terminals.

What engine displacements are available in the gasoline inverter range?

Engines range from 63cc (KG1000i) to 196cc (KG2200i), all single-cylinder 4-stroke OHV force air-cooled, rated at 3600rpm.
